The City of New Orleans Ground Transportation Bureau would like to ensure that our residents and tourists receive outstanding customer service from the “for hire” industry (i.e.: taxis, buggies, limousines, tour guides & busses and companies to name a few).

Your Rights as a Customer
 
  • You have a right to ride in a clean vehicle
  • You have a right to have a safe ride
  • You have a right to a courteous driver
  •  

    Things You Should Look For

  • CPNC Number – located on both front panels, the trunk and the hood of the vehicle
  • Company Name – located on the driver and passenger doors as well as the trunk of the vehicle
  • Information Stickers- affixed to the passenger windows (Passenger Rights & Rates)
  •  

    Upon arriving at your destination

    please request a receipt from the driver. The receipt should be completed by the driver and include the name of the driver, the company, CPNC number and the amount tendered including any tips.

    Additionally, you may utilize the complaint form by providing feedback, comments, suggestions, and compliments. If you feel you have received unsatisfactory services from our "for hire" industry please complete and submit your complaint. Please provide your contact information, phone number and/or email address so an investigator can contact you if additional information is needed.
