Mardi Gras Information & Updates

Welcome to Carnival 2015!

For over 150 years, New Orleanians have celebrated the "greatest free show on earth," complete with parades, marching bands, and revelry that only a city like New Orleans can provide. In 2014, Carnival season began on "Three Kings Day" January 6, and culminates on Mardi Gras day, February 17.

This season, several important safety regulations take effect. Additionally, the City and its partners have taken extensive steps to lessen the impact of ongoing construction and are coordinating with the RTA to improve transportation options for parade goers. Please take a few minutes to learn about the new safety rules and plan your trip to the festivities in advance. Below, you will find interactive maps which display parade routes by each day so you can plan ahead. There are also links to the RTA's website so you can check bus and streetcar schedules. Above all, get ready for a safe and fun Carnival Season.
