Programs and Funding

The OCD manages federal grant money given to New Orleans by taking, selecting, and distributing funds to local service providers. The OCD does not provide individuals money to repair or restore their homes. For suggestions on potential funding sources or information for individual home-owners, please see our Useful Links.

Funding Dates

  • Contracts for Federal ESG and HOPWA activities will be for a twelve-month period effective January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013.
  • 2013 HOME and CDBG NOFA Dates are to be determined.
  • Twelve month contracts for the State Emergency Shelter Grant program are effective September 1, 2012 - August 31, 2013. 

The 2013 application deadlinefor ESG, SESG & HOPWA was January 28, 2013. The 2014 funding proposal call will be posted on this website when it is made available in December 2013.
