Mayor's Summer Jobs Challenge
Mayor Landrieu is calling on local businesses and organizations to sign up to be a part of the "Summer Jobs Challenge".
"Last summer, with the help of our local businesses, we placed 758 youth to work and we want to reach at least 1000 this year. The City has committed over 1 million to employ youth this summer but we all must do our part in order to curb the epidemic of chronic unemployment in our urban corridor and expand the opportunities for African-American males who reside in Orleans parish. Therefore, I am challenging all businesses, no matter the size, to give a young person a chance to earn a paycheck and learn job skills".

We believe that one of the most important aspects of NOLA Youth Works is the experience that youth will have at your worksite(s). Therefore, we partner with employers that provide a safe, structured, and properly supervised worksite.
NOLA Youth Works will provide necessary support to employers and youth to ensure a successful summer for all.
With your help we can make 2017 a great success.
