Hazard Mitigation Office

The Hazard Mitigation Office is a branch of the City of New Orleans’ Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. The Hazard Mitigation Office is responsible for identifying hazards that threaten the City of New Orleans. The ultimate mission of the Hazard Mitigation Office is to reduce risk from natural and man-made hazards and ensure the future sustainability of New Orleans.
