Interim Chief Information Officer
Edward Kerkow is the Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the City of New Orleans, Information Technology and Innovation department. In this role, Edward and his team are responsible for developing and executing the technology strategies to support the delivery of City Services.
Mr. Kerkow is well trained and experienced in operations, performance improvement, and technology. Specifically, Mr. Kerkow has over 20 years of experience across both the private and public sectors. Mr. Kerkow previously served as Vice President of Operations within the State and Local Government Division of Affiliated Computers Services, A Xerox Company. Additional experience encompasses senior positions with large Systems Integration firms including EDS/HP and Lockheed Martin.
During his tenure at these firms, Mr. Kerkow developed a high level of expertise managing business unit operations including Contract Management, Service Delivery, P&L, Client Relationship, Operations, and Technology. He led strategy development, managed deployment, and created product road maps for State and Local Government technology applications and services including Emergency Medical Services, Transportation Solutions, Data Warehouse, Wireless Technology, and Mobile Applications.
Edward Kerkow holds a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He also holds undergraduate degrees from St. John’s University.
