City Announces City Hall Holiday Closures

NEW ORLEANS – Today, the City of New Orleans announced that City Hall will be closed to the public on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 and Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, in observance of the Christmas holiday. City Hall will also be closed Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 and Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 in observance of the New Year’s holiday.

City Celebrates Success of NOLA FOR LIFE Midnight Basketball Season Thirteen

NEW ORLEANS — Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced the completion of NOLA FOR LIFE Midnight Basketball Season Thirteen. NOLA FOR LIFE Midnight Basketball provides safe recreational opportunities in crime hot spots for young men through mentorship, support and basketball. Since its inaugural season in 2012, Midnight Basketball has reached more than 8,450 participants and 3,580 spectators.

NEW ORLEANS – TOMORROW, Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, the City of New Orleans along with the the City of New Orleans alongside the New Orleans Pelicans, RPM Pizza, MetroPCS and PlayNOLA will conclude the thirteenth season of NOLA FOR LIFE Midnight Basketball, which provides safe recreational activity, jobs and opportunities in crime hot spots for males over 16 years old through basketball, mentorship and support.
