NEW ORLEANS, LA – On Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, Mayor Mitch Landrieu joined Wells Fargo Senior Vice President Hugh Rowden at the New Orleans East Hospital to announce a new $500,000 workforce grant. The award will enhance the City’s ability to connect underemployed and unemployed residents to healthcare and advanced manufacturing sector careers as part of Mayor Landrieu’s Economic Opportunity Strategy.

Mayor Mitch Landrieu to Host the NOLA FOR LIFE Symposium

NEW ORLEANS, LA—TODAY, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will host the NOLA FOR LIFE Symposium to allow New Orleans residents to take on the hard-hitting issues that contribute to violence in our community. During the two-day dialogue, participants will explore and set actionable goals to address broader issues contributing to the homicide rate in New Orleans—race, equity, education, income inequality, and the criminal justice system.

Citizens to Contact Registrar of Voters with Voting Questions

NEW ORLEANS, LA – On Saturday, Dec. 6, polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to contact the Registrar of Voters with any questions or problems voting.  Voters can identify their polling locations by name, parish or address here. Voters must bring a valid ID to their polling location.

Mayor Landrieu Announces 2018 Commission Leadership for the City's 300th Anniversary

NEW ORLEANS, LA— On Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, Mayor Mitch Landrieu introduced the leadership charged with developing New Orleans’ 300th anniversary celebration activities in 2018. The 2018 Commission will organize international, national and local partners for the planning of celebrations in honor of the city’s history and future.
