Boil water advisory for limited area of Venetian Isles

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Residents and businesses in a limited area of Venetian Isles will experience low water pressure as a result of a water main break caused during work by a contractor. The repair is expected to take between four to five hours.

Southwest Airlines to Start Non-stop Service to San Diego from New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, LA – After announcing about 1.4 million more seats last winter in New Orleans, Southwest Airlines is increasing air service from the New Orleans market with new non-stop service to San Diego, CA beginning on April 8, 2014 on their 737 aircraft.

Civil Service Commission votes to "Ban the Box" on City job applications

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, the City Civil Service Commission approved a new policy that will “ban the box” that requires applicants to disclose prior convictions on initial job forms, and will establish new guidelines for screening candidates before a final hiring decision is made.
