NEW ORLEANS, LA—Today, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy issued a filming notice to New Orleans residents.
A production company will be filming at the Schneider Paper Company in the St. Claude neighborhood on Friday, August 10; Sunday, August 12; and Tuesday, August 14, 2012. There will be a single lane closure on the N. Robertson Ave. overpass (between Feliciana St. and Port St.) from 7pm until 7am each night of filming.
The production will include simulated gunfire for certain scenes on nights of filming.
Uniformed officers will be on hand to ensure public safety and to facilitate the production crew’s work.
Film New Orleans assists productions with the City’s permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
In 2011, $531 million was spent locally in the film industry during both filming and post-production, contributing significantly to the New Orleans economy by creating jobs.
