NEW ORLEANS, LA—Today, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy issued a filming notice to New Orleans residents.
On Wednesday, November 28th through Friday, November 30th, a production company will be filming scenes at the Naval Support Activity site at 4400 Dauphine Street.
On Thursday and Friday nights, from approximately 4pm to 4am, filming will involve simulated gunfire and loud dialogue. Filming will be limited to the Naval Support Activity site and will not disrupt traffic.
Film New Orleans assists productions with the City’s permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
As of the beginning of November, New Orleans has hosted 51 tax credit film projects (TV, films and commercials with budgets over $300,000), with spending estimated at $598 million. In 2011, the City hosted 46 tax credit projects with $544 million in direct spending.
