NEW ORLEANS, LA — Tomorrow, delivering on his commitment to help rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will join City Councilmembers, City and State Officials, and FEMA to announce ground breakings on the $19 million Andrew P. Sanchez Community Center and $4.1 million NOFD Engine 22 and 39 Fire Station in the Lower Ninth Ward. The City will also recognize the completion of Phase I of the $1.9 million Lower Ninth Ward Streetscape Project and announce the beginning of construction on $44.9 million in neighborhood street repairs as part of the FEMA-funded Recovery Roads Program.
