NEW ORLEANS, LA – Tomorrow, the City of New Orleans, with support from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana and Partnership for a Healthier America, will host the third local Play Streets event at Conrad Park in the Hollygrove community.
The free community event, presented in conjunction with the Best Babies Zone program and Healthy Start New Orleans, is designed to encourage fun, family friendly physical activities. It will feature a “Baby Buggy Walk in the Park,” field games, free health screenings, free healthful food, a resource fair, music by DJ Wild Wayne, line dancing with Lady D and activities with the New Orleans Saints Youth Training Camp.
From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow, Hamilton Street will be closed to through traffic between Edinburgh and Olive Streets to accommodate the event.
Play Streets events are made possible through a grant received by the New Orleans Health Department.
