City Hall closed Monday for MLK Day holiday

NEW ORLEANS, LA--Today, the City of New Orleans announced that City Hall will be closed Monday, January 20, 2014 for the MLK Day holiday. City Hall will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.

In honor of the MLK holiday celebration, members of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Planning Commission will join Mayor Landrieu and special guests in front of City Hall on Monday at 9am for an opening ceremony. The program will be followed by the 28th Annual Memorial MLK March, which will follow a nearly 1½ -mile route from City Hall to the MLK Monument on South Claiborne Avenue and Felicity Street.

All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
