NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy issued filming notices to New Orleans residents in the Lower Garden District.
On Monday, June 23, 2014 between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., a production company will be filming exterior scenes on Brooklyn Avenue, near Mardi Gras World. The filming activity will include gunfire. Law enforcement, EMS and NOFD will be on site to ensure public safety and to help facilitate the work.
Film New Orleans within the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy assists productions with the City’s permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
In 2013, New Orleans hosted 60 tax credit film projects (TV, films, and commercials with budgets over $300,000), with direct spending of $456 million.
