Mayor Landrieu Names Marsha Broussard as Director of New Orleans Health Department

NEW ORLEANS – Today, Mayor Landrieu announced that Marsha Broussard, MPH, DrPH, will serve as the City’s Director of Health. In this capacity, Broussard will oversee the department’s operations and initiatives. Dr. Broussard will start Monday, Dec. 5, 2016.

Mayor Landrieu, Greater New Orleans Foundation Donate an Additional $82,000 Raised by the NOLA PAY IT FORWARD Fund for Louisiana Flood Relief

NEW ORLEANS — Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced that the City of New Orleans, in partnership with the Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF), will donate $82,000 in grants through the NOLA Pay It Forward Fund to community organizations that are helping those affected by the major flooding that occurred in Louisiana in August 2016. Previously, Mayor Landrieu announced two rounds of grants totaling in $170,000 to more than 15 community organizations providing immediate response support.

NEW ORLEANS – Today, the City of New Orleans in partnership with StayLocal, released a Road Construction Toolkit for New Orleans Businesses. The toolkit features important contact information, practical tips and technical assistance so businesses can continue to thrive during road construction. At this time, the City is gearing up a $2.4 billion capital improvement program to repair and rebuild 400 miles of roads and subsurface infrastructure.
