Burning Fuel Tanker Closes I-10 in New Orleans East

Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 4:31 p.m. the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to a 911 call reporting an overturned and burning fuel tanker on Interstate-10 eastbound, just past I-510, in the Little Woods area of New Orleans East.

Four Alarm Fire at 3620 Royal Street

Saturday, July 12, 2014 the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received a call at 1:35 p.m. to 3620 Royal Street.  Companies arrived at   1:40 p.m. to find a large two story-sheet metal warehouse structure fully engulfed and immediately struck a second alarm.

Three Alarm Fire Displace Five Families Uptown

Wednesday, July 09, 2014 the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received calls through the 911 system to 823 Cadiz Street in the uptown area.  At 3:22 a.m., companies arrived to a two-story wood frame dwelling which consisted of four apartments heavily involved with fire spread to an adjacent building; which is a combination of an old family sheet metal business with two apartments above.

Two Alarm Fire at Strip Mall in Lakeview

Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11:46 a.m. the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received reports of a fire at 900 Harrison Avenue in Lakeview.

Derailment Confirmed Non-Hazardous at CSX Yard

Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 12:47 p.m. the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to a report of three tank cars being derailed at the CSX rail yard located at 7801 Almonaster Blvd.

Fluid Spill at the Corner of Canal St. and Carrollton Ave.

The New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) is on the scene of a Level 1 Hazardous Materials incident at the corner of Canal St. and Carrollton Ave.  A Richard’s Disposal garbage truck has leaked approximately 50-60 gallons of hydraulic fluid spanning a four block stretch of lake-bound Canal St., from Carrollton Ave. to N. Solomon St.

Monday, May 19, 2014 at 1:33 p.m. the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) was dispatched from a 911 call reporting a fire in a dwelling in the 5200 block of Camp St.

Firefighters Battle Four Alarm Fire on Esplanade Avenue

On Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 05:27 am, New Orleans firefighters returning from call a for assistance saw smoke in the 1700 block of Esplanade Avenue. Two other firefighters were passing in the area to report for duty also called the fire in and assisted with evacuation of residents.
