At 3:22 a.m., companies arrived to a two-story wood frame dwelling which consisted of four apartments heavily involved with fire spread to an adjacent building; which is a combination of an old family sheet metal business with two apartments above.

The New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) is on the scene of a Level 1 Hazardous Materials incident at the corner of Canal St. and Carrollton Ave. A Richard’s Disposal garbage truck has leaked approximately 50-60 gallons of hydraulic fluid spanning a four block stretch of lake-bound Canal St., from Carrollton Ave. to N. Solomon St.
