It's time for Fire Prevention Week, and from October 4th-10th the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) has joined forces with the nonprofit National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to remind local residents to “Hear the Beep, Where You Sleep”.

Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 8:32 a.m. the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received a 911 call reporting a house fire with possible persons trapped in the 13400 block of Lemans St. in the Michoud area of New Orleans East.

On Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 7:33pm, the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to several 911 calls reporting a fire in the 1700 block of Marigny St. An abandoned one story structure at 1707 Marigny St was fully involved upon arrival, and spread to the two neighboring homes.
