Suspect Sought in Central Business District Robbery

The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating an unknown male in connection with an Armed Robbery that occurred in the early morning hours near the intersection of Baronne and Common Streets.   

Today, at approximately 1:30 A.M., the victim was with the subject who he had befriended earlier that day.  While the victim was sitting down, the subject struck the victim with an aluminum crutch several times in the head.  After the victim fell to the ground, the subject took money from his pocket and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The subject is described as an African-American male, approximately 30 years of age, approximately 5’7” to 5’9” tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, having a small beard with medium hair and tattoos in the face and neck area.  He was last seen wearing a blue cap, white t-shirt with “I heart NO” on the front, and dark jeans.
