CITY ISSUES REMINDER OF PARKING INSTRUCTIONS AND TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS IN ADVANCE OF EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR WEEKEND OF NOVEMBER 23-24, 2013

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, the City of New Orleans issued parking instructions and reminders in advance of events scheduled for Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November, 24, 2013. 

Magazine Street Blues Festival
On Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Napoleon Avenue will be closed from Camp Street to Magazine Street for the Magazine Street Blues Festival.

Oak Street Po-Boy Festival
On Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Oak Street will be closed from South Carrollton Avenue to Leake Avenue for the Oak Street Po-Boy Festival.

Parking enforcement personnel will be monitoring for illegal parking, including blocking hydrants, driveways and sidewalks, or parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk, intersection or stop signs. Motorists are also reminded to park in the direction of travel on one-way streets, and with the right wheel to the curb on two-way streets. 

In addition, RTA services, including bus service may be interrupted during these events. Details on route changes are available at www.norta.com.
