NEW ORLEANS--This holiday season, Arnaud’s Restaurant, in partnership with the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation (NOPJF), will host its second annual Teddy Bear Program, benefiting the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) and local community.

NOPD Investigating A Traffic Fatality

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is investigating a traffic fatality that claimed the life of a 50-year-old female.  The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.  The incident took place October 22, 2015, at the intersection of North Claiborne Avenue and Governor Nicholls Street.

Suspect Wanted For Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect who is wanted for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.  The incident took place October 21, 2015, between the hours of 6:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m., near the intersection of Alabo and Urquhart Streets.

Orleans Parish Sobriety Checkpoint

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD Traffic Division will conduct a sobriety checkpoint beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015, to 5:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015.  Motorists will experience minimal delays and should have the proper documentation available if requested, i.e., proof of insurance, driver’s license, etc.

Suspects Sought For Armed Robbery On South Carrollton Avenue

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two unknown black males who robbed a Chevron Gas Station.  The incident took place September 16, 2015, in the 1400 block of South Carrollton Avenue.

NOPD begins walk-in testing for new police recruit applicants

NEW ORLEANS— In an effort to continue to improve and streamline the application process for new police recruit applicants, this week the NOPD announced that walk-in testing is now available at the Civil Service Department five days a week.

Suspect Wanted For Theft

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect who is wanted for Theft.  The incident took place October 18, 2015, inside of a room at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, located at 717 Orleans Street.

Fatality Investigation

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is investigating a traffic fatality that claimed the life of an 80-year-old female from New Orleans.  The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.  The incident took place October 19, 2015 at the intersection of North Johnson and Poland Avenue.

Update: Suspects Wanted For Pickpocket Incident

Suspects located and arrested in the incident.  

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD has arrested 48-year-old Robin Alice Jones and 49-year-old Deorman Michael Hudson for a Pickpocket incident.  The incident occurred October 16, 2015, in the 300 block of South Broad Street.

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 33-year-old Amy Marie Crow who was last seen by her husband on October 19, 2015, near Jackson Square.
