NOPD Arrests Five Juveniles and One Adult In Eastern New Orleans Burglary Investigation

NEW ORLEANS – Yesterday, the NOPD arrested 17-year-old Keithen Hunter and five juveniles, three males and two females, all 16 years old, in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in the 9800 block of East Rockton Circle.

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect who is wanted for Theft.  The incident occurred May 5, 2015, inside of the Soap and Suds Washeteria Soap-N-Suds Laundromat, located at 1937 St. Ann Street.

NOPD Investigating Mexico Street Murder


NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an unidentified man and the non-fatal shooting of an unidentified man. Both victims appeared to be in their early 20’s. The shooting took place around the 2300 block of Mexico Street.

Chief Harrison proposes policy change, ordinance on police response to false alarms

NEW ORLEANS – In an effort to significantly reduce the amount of time officers spend responding to false alarms and to improve police response time to actual crimes, today NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison announced a comprehensive proposal to reduce the number of false alarms citywide.

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Timberland Singleton.  Singleton was last seen on May 10, 2015, at the Burger King located at 2423 South Carrollton Avenue.

NEW ORLEANS—In an effort to honor NOPD officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to thank current NOPD officers who are serving the New Orleans community, tonight through Thursday night, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will light up in all blue.

NEW ORLEANS-  The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown black male wanted in connection with an armed robbery and carjacking that occurred yesterday around 12:15 p.m., in the 7600 block of Freret Street.
