Tradesmen Supervisor (full time)
The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) is currently hiring a supervisor for the Maintenance Division. Work includes supervision of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding work, and responsibility to respond to work orders for repairs needed at recreational facilities throughout the City. Must be 100% reliable, able to interact professionally with the public, and available on weekends and evenings as needed. Work requires broad knowledge of maintenance equipment and maintenance and repair techniques with individual assignments requiring use of various skills in the trades such as painting, carpentry, basic welding, heavy equipment operation; and related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Four (4) years of full-time verifiable experience in the fields of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical or building repair work. References will be checked.
Equipment Operator II (full time) NORDC is currently hiring an Equipment Operator or for the Maintenance Division. Requirements include: a current Louisiana Commercial Driver's License. Current Commercial Driver's License with applicable endorsements must be presented at the time of application. Applicants must have a good driving record. Applicants who have a record of two or more moving violations, or one or more Driving While Intoxicated violations within the last eighteen months will not be eligible for employment in this classification. Applicants may be hired pending the results of a traffic violations check, but any applicant so hired and later found
