NORDC Programmatic Partnerships

NORDC is accepts applications from organizations that wish to provide programs for the residents of the City of New Orleans within a NORDC recreation center, park, or playground.  While applications are accepted year round, there will be deadlines for specific time periods (e.g., summer camp, after-school).

2015 Summer Program Partnership Application Timeline

Technical Assistance Workshops for Summer Programming Partnership Opportunities
October 29 & November 5, 11am-12:30pm on both days
Gernon Brown Rec Center

During the workshop, we will provide a timeline for the 2015 summer partnership application process.  Here is what you will learn:

♦ Application Details (application release date, deadline, what documents are required to apply, etc.)
♦ Documents required to partner with the City of New Orleans (Good Standing certificate, Tax Clearance Form, etc…)
♦ Corporate Endeavor Agreement (CEA) and the requirements of the partnership
♦ Allocation of Funding (How are the funding levels determined, timeline to receive funds, compliance checklist, etc.)
♦ Opportunity to ask any questions regarding summer programming

In order to attend, you must  R.S.V.P. to for each attendee no later than the day of the event.

November 10 NORDC begins accepting applications for Summer 2015
November 21 Application deadline (2 weeks to apply)
November 24 NORDC vets applications (6 weeks through January 2)
January 2 All applicants are advised of their status (advance to next stage, or denied)
January 2-16 CEAs are drafted (2 weeks)
January 16 Mandatory meeting for all partners and CEAs will be distributed.
January 23 Partner organizations deliver required documents and CEA revisions to NORDC
March 7 Summer Camp Expo/ Teen Camp applications are released
April 15  NORDC submits for 2/3 payment on each CEA (Partners must have at least 50% of their enrollment)
May 6 Partner organizations receive 2/3 of funding
May 23  Summer Camp Orientation (Location TBD)
June 1  Youth and Teen Camps Begins (8 weeks June 1 – July 24)
June 1 – 12 NORDC completes compliance assessments on each partner
June 12 NORDC submits for remaining 1/3 payment on each 6 week CEA
June 19 NORDC submits for remaining 1/3 payment on each 8 week CEA
July 2 Youth camps culminating activity at City Park 9am-2pm
July 10 Teen Camps and 6-week Youth Camps close
July 9 Teen Camp Career Explosion (Convention Center)
July 24 8-week Summer Camps close
