How to Rent a NORDC Facility
Consider renting a New Orleans Recreation Development Commission park or recreation center for your special event or film location. Plus, rental income supports NORDC centers and parks.
Spaces available for rent include:
Picnic shelters and green space
Meetings spaces for small to large gatherings
Athletic Facilities (football, baseball/softball, soccer fields; covered and uncovered basketball courts, volleyball courts, gymnasiums, stadiums, tennis courts and pools)

We will need a completed and signed application before processing any reservations.
All required paper work and rental balance is required 2 weeks (14 days) before event date.
Any/all revisions to this application must be received in writing and approved by the NORDC at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to rent a NORDC facility? The fees vary and are specific to each event. Fees is generated based upon the information provided in the rental application. For a quote, fill out the application and submit it to the Rental Coordinator.
What happens if my event is cancelled due to inclement weather? NORDC will allow the applicant to reschedule their rental pending facility availability.
What form of payment does NORDC accept?
NORDC accepts business checks, certified cashiers checks and money orders as forms of payment. NO CASH
Will NORDC provide tables and chairs for my event?
NORDC does not provide tables and chairs for outdoor events. Events in a Center may have access to tables and chairs based on what’s available.
Will NORDC provide athletic equipment for my event?
NORDC does not provide athletic equipment. Use of facility goals, nets, score clocks varies by availability.
Large Special Events (festival, concerts, etc.)
Large events may require permits from multiple city departments. For assistance, please contact the City of New Orleans ONE STOP, the single resource for all city permits and licenses.
