NOLA Ready Emergency Alert System Frequently Asked Questions

1. What Are NOLA Ready Alerts?

NOLA Ready is the city's emergency alert notification system.  It allows you to received accurate, immediate emergency alerts, straight from the City, to your cell phone, work phone, home phone, email, text message, and more.  You can choose to get messages based on neighborhoods (where you live, where your child goes to school) as well as emergencies affecting the entire City.  You tailor the alerts to your needs, meaning you'll always know at the first sign of any emergency that may affect your home, parents, children, and/or workplace. 5. I Can't Log In. Why?

There are two potential reasons. One is that you did not register your account preferences after May 2012, when the City upgraded its alert system, and sent users information on upgrading. The second is that you forgot your user name and/or password.

If you believe you have a NOLA Ready account, please click here to enter your name and email address and have your password sent to you.

If you receive an error message or your email is not found, you have not upgraded your account. To upgrade your account, you will need to re-register by clicking here and choosing "Sign Up For Alerts."
