About Us

The Office of Community Development (OCD) is committed to stabilizing and revitalizing neighborhoods, channeling available resources and information needed to provide Orleans Parish residents with services in affordable housing, economic development, special needs, and community service programs.

OCD has 6 units that work together delivering programs with HUD grant funding through the Consolidated Plan. OCD is committed to delivering its services to Orleans Parish Residents through fiscal responsibility, transparency, customer service, and efficiency.

Funding

The OCD manages federal grant money given to New Orleans by taking, selecting, and distributing funds to local service providers. The OCD does not provide individuals money to repair or restore their homes. For suggestions on potential funding sources or information for individual home-owners, please see our Useful Links.
