Boil Water Advisory for NOLA East Bank

The Sewerage & Water Board issued a precautionary boil water advisory for the East bank of New Orleans, including the Lower 9th Ward and New Orleans East, due to a drop in water pressure.

City announces City Hall holiday closures

NEW ORLEANS, LA--Today, the City of New Orleans announced that City Hall will be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2014 for the New Year's Day holiday and will close early on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. to accommodate the large crowds attending the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, the City announced that 2014 property tax bill images are available on the City’s website and paper bills are being mailed to all Orleans Parish property owners beginning today, December 26, 2013.  Property tax payments are due on Friday, January 31, 2014.

State Police concludes “Operation Carpe Diem”

NEW ORLEANS – “An overwhelming success” is what State Police commanders are calling the final results of a 7 week, statewide intensive enforcement effort that has resulted in more than 1,000 criminal arrests, the seizure of more than $6 million in illegal drugs, recovery of over 100 illegal weapons and over 600 fugitive charges.
