Ribbon cutting scheduled for historic Circle Food Store

NEW ORLEANS, LA—TOMORROW, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will join owner Dwayne Boudreaux and City and State officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Circle Food Store. The historic market, which has been closed since 2005 to damage from Hurricane Katrina, has undergone an $8 million renovation. The project is funded in part by the New Orleans Fresh Food Retailer Initiative, a program designed to increase access to fresh foods in traditionally underserved neighborhoods.
