June 19, 2014

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu recognized the recipients of the Mayor’s Outstanding Employee Award for the first quarter of 2014. These five high-performing individuals were acknowledged for their contribution to citywide and departmental goals and their commitment to City values.

“I am happy to recognize these dedicated individuals and I am thankful for their commitment to our city,” said Mayor Mitch Landrieu. “We are working every day to build a safer and stronger New Orleans, and our employees play a major role in making that happen.”

Recipients of the award are nominated by their colleagues and New Orleans residents based on their dedication and outstanding commitment to the community and the City of New Orleans.  Nominations for the award can be made by both City employees and New Orleans citizens through the City’s website.

The five selected employees for the first quarter of 2014 are: Page McCranie (ADA), William Mullaly (NOPD), Deborah Seward (Property Management), Troy Magee (NOFD), Cedric Palmisano (EMS).

Earlier this month, Mayor Landrieu  met with each employee and presented them with a proclamation. The recipients were also recognized at the City Council meeting today, and were presented with a framed proclamation and City pin.
