NEW ORLEANS – Today, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy issued a filming notice for residents in Lower Algiers.
On Monday, January 29, between the hours of 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., a production company will film scenes at a private residence in the English Turn subdivision. The sequence being shot will involve simulated special effects and gunfire.
Law enforcement officers will be on site to ensure public safety and to help facilitate the work.
Film New Orleans, within the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy, assists productions with the City’s permitting process, connects productions with local crew and resources, and facilitates communication between productions and the local community.
In 2017, New Orleans hosted 40 film tax credit projects (TV, films, and commercials with budgets over $300,000) with direct spending of roughly $295 million.
