Boil Water Advisory for NOLA East Bank

The Sewerage & Water Board issued a precautionary boil water advisory for the East bank of New Orleans, including the Lower 9th Ward and New Orleans East, due to a drop in water pressure.

New Orleans' Resilience Strategy Recognized by American Planning Association

NEW ORLEANS — Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced that the City of New Orleans’s resilience strategy, Resilient New Orleans, has been awarded the 2016 National Planning Excellence Award for a Best Practice by the American Planning Association (APA). Released in August 2015, Resilient New Orleans is the City’s planning strategy to make New Orleans more resilient, sustainable and prepared to meet challenges and adapt to change.

NEW ORLEANS — Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced that the City of New Orleans was selected by the Partnership for a New American Economy (PNAE) and Welcoming America to participate in the “Gateways for Growth Challenge” to attract, retain and integrate immigrants as part of an economic growth strategy. New Orleans is among 20 cities selected to participate in the “Gateways for Growth Challenge, including Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Nashville and Pittsburgh.

NEW ORLEANS – Today, the City of New Orleans announced that 311 is available to take calls and answer questions about voting. Residents may also continue to direct voting questions to the Registrar of Voters Office, but 311 operators are able to handle overflow calls.
