Sign Up Now for the Katrina 10 Citywide Day of Service

On Saturday, Aug. 29th, Mayor Mitch Landrieu and the City of New Orleans, with the support of Walmart, will host the Katrina 10 Citywide Day of Service, one of the most comprehensive and unique service initiatives in the country.  We aim to engage 10,000 volunteers on 100 projects across New Orleans and we need your help.

Public Meeting on National Disaster Resilience Competition

The City of New Orleans is applying for up to $500 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development‘s National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC). Input from the residents of New Orleans at the March 4th public meeting (linked above) will help us to assess threats, risks and vulnerabilities as we work to create a more viable and resilient city.
