On Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 7:44 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to a fire at 2416/18 Jackson Ave. near S. Robertson St. in Central City.  At 7:48 a.m. firefighters arrived to find heavy black smoke and fire coming from the roof line of a single story, wood-framed shotgun double home that appeared to be under renovation.  Firefighters conducted a primary of both units for possible persons trapped.
