On Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 9:14 pm, the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to the 8400 block of Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans East.  Firefighters arrived at 9:21 pm to find a trash fire in a large metal shipping container.

Four Townhomes Burn in Algiers Fire, Fourteen Residents Displaced

On Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 4:45 pm, New Orleans Department firefighters noticed smoke in the area of Vespasian Blvd in Algiers and went to investigate. When firefighters arrived on the scene of the 3400 block of Vespasian Blvd., they found the rear first and second floors of an abandoned two story, wood framed townhome at 3457 Vespasian Blvd. heavily involved in fire.

On Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 1:42 p.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received a 9-1-1 call stating a residence was on fire. Firefighters were dispatched in less than a minute to 1722 Frenchman Street.

NOFD Battles a Two Alarm Fire with Fatalities in New Orleans East

On Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:36 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received a 9-1-1 call reporting a house on fire at 7731 Wave Drive. The first company arrived at 1:42 a.m. and found a one-story wood-framed dwelling with heavy smoke and fire coming from the front door and front windows.

Family of Two Displaced by Two-Alarm Fire in Algiers

On Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:22 p.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received a 9-1-1 call reporting a residential fire in the 5800 block of Tullis Dr.in Algiers. Dispatched at 10:22 p.m., the first NOFD company arrived on the scene at 10:29 p.m., finding an unoccupied two-story, townhome-styled dwelling at 5844 Tullis Dr. heavily involved with exposures to the immediate left and right.
