The 34-year-old male driver of a Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on the Interstate when for reasons unknown, he lost control of his vehicle, drove off the roadway and struck a metal pole.  No one else was inside of the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene.
