NOPD Investigating West End Fatality

This morning, the New Orleans Police Department’s Fatality Unit is investigating a fatality that left a 60-year-old man dead.  The incident occurred shortly before 9:00 A.M., in the 300 block of West Harrison Boulevard. 

The driver of a blue Jeep Liberty was traveling eastbound on West Harrison Boulevard, when for reasons unknown, lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.  The driver was transported to the hospital where he later died.  

The Orleans Parish Coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.  

The Fatality Unit is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-6237.
