Short Term Rental Enforcement
Short Term Rental Administration staff will utilize the data provided by the online rental platforms, pursuant to Section 26-620 of the City Code, as well as independent investigation to determine where Short Term Rentals are operating and initiate enforcement actions against those property owners.

Hearings for violations of the City's Short Term Rental standards are held in accordance with Chapter 6 of the City Code, which outlines administrative procedures for hearings regarding violations by the owners of immovable property or their agents, tenants, or representatives.
As provided by Section 26-618 of the City Code, the penalties for violation of Short Term Rental standards can include, but are not limited to revocation of the Short Term Rental license, daily fines for every day a violation continues, liens against the property, and disconnection of electrical service to the subject property. Ultimately, the Department of Safety and Permits may seek relief through Civil District Court if a property owner does not comply with the Short Term Rental regulations after administrative action is taken.
