Class "C" Maintenance Electricians License

In order to ensure public safety through compliance with the International Construction Code (ICC) as adopted by the City of New Orleans as well as all other related state and parish regulations, electricians performing work within the City of New Orleans are required to obtain and renew annually an Electrical License from the City. Electricians with ICC certifications can apply for Class C Maintenance Electricians License ($60.00).

Duration

Valid for one year and must be renewed annually on or before birthday.

Fees

Class C Maintenance Electrician $60.00 annual
A delinquent fee of $5.00 per month will assessed for late renewal (considered to be delinquent 1st business day after birthday)

Required Documents

Complete the respective license application
Must be 18 years of age or older
Present two current passport size photos
Copy of Driver’s License or State Identification and previous license card (if renewing)
Copy of ICC passing letter (if testing was involved)
