Traffic Coordination

The Department of Public Works is responsible for managing traffic flow in the City. Maneuvering through areas of of high construction activity can be challenging. Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians should travel cautiously through active construction sites and follow all appropriate safety signs and notices. It may be helpful to anticipate longer commute times to reach destinations within construction zones. View the maps below to plan your travel. 

 

Uptown Traffic Coordination

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works, is coordinating closely with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, Regional Transit Authority, and the Department of Transportation’s Paths to Progress program to manage the traffic impacts surrounding a series of infrastructure improvement projects in the Uptown area of New Orleans.

Central Business District Traffic Coordination

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works, is coordinating closely with the Downtown Development District, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, Regional Transit Authority, and the Department of Transportation’s Paths to Progress program to manage the traffic impacts surrounding a series of infrastructure improvement projects in the Uptown area of New Orleans.

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works, is coordinating closely with Paths to Progress and the State of Louisiana program to manage the traffic impacts surrounding a series of infrastructure improvement projects on the West Bank of Orleans Parish.
