The Office of Workforce Development identifies and aligns the supply of workers in our city with the needs of growing businesses. Through a combination of monitoring the needs of a knowledge-based economy, to providing career counseling and training, the Office of Workforce Development leverages the capabilities of our citizens to fill necessary positions while working with local businesses to customize training, screen applicants and help forecast future demand. These services are available through three programs within the Office of Workforce Development. Click any of the links below for more details about these services.
The Office of Workforce Development is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to support organizations in developing programs that empower individuals negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with the skills, certifications, and support necessary to embark on career trajectories with family-sustaining wages that bolster their long term social and economic mobility. The project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
