WHAT: New Orleans Mayor Mitchell J. Landrieu and City officials will welcome nearly 50 delegations representing US cities and foreign nations to New Orleans for the 2012 World Cultural Economic Forum (WCEF).
WCEF will connect mayors and thought leaders from across the globe to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and shape the discussion on culture as an effective tool to spur innovation. The City of New Orleans is partnering with the U.S. Conference of Mayors to present the forum, along with local partners, including New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corporation, New Orleans Business Alliance and the World Trade Center.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, is joining Mayor Landrieu as a speaker at WCEF.

For the first time in 2012, the City of New Orleans has partnered with the US Conference of Mayors to create a unique platform for mayors from around the world to come together to exchange ideas, build new partnerships between their cities, and shape the international discussion on culture as an effective tool to spur innovation.
