The City of New Orleans

Mayor Mitchell J. Landrieu

Debris

Citizens have a number of options to get rid of debris. Dumping debris on neutral grounds or in vacant or blighted lots is illegal and will be enforced.

Call It.

Residents can call 311 Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm to report debris problems, including illegal dumping, and debris pickup requests. City contractors will pick up certain kinds of debris curbside.

Curb it

Household trash should be bagged and placed separate from debris.

Drop It.

There are three sites that take debris in New Orleans, all of which are open seven days a week.
