UPDATE: TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closures on Eastbound I-610 for Streetlight Repairs
Update, please note the I-610 closure scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, April 10 has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 2p.m. due to anticipated inclement weather.
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Wednesday, April 10 at approximately 9 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will close the eastbound left lane along the stretch of Interstate 610 between Canal Boulevard and Henry Thomas Drive (see map).
This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs DPW contractor, All Star Electric.
Public safety is top priority. Throughout the closure period, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., appropriate signage will be deployed to safely guide motorists through the affected area.
This closure marks another step in the ongoing collaborative effort between DPW and LaDOTD to systematically address streetlight repairs.
By working together, both the City and State are dedicated to the successful implementation of these crucial improvements.
