POSTPONED: TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closure on I-610 for Interstate Streetlight Repairs

The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Wednesday, May 1 at 9 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD) will close the eastbound right lane, along the stretch of I-610 between Paris Avenue and the Elysian Fields Avenue off-ramp.

The City of New Orleans today reminds residents that one traffic safety camera and four school zone safety cameras will be reactivated on Wednesday, May 1 at 7 a.m. These cameras had been vandalized and have since undergone repairs for reactivation.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell

On May 7, 2018, LaToya Cantrell made history as New Orleans’ first woman mayor in its 300-year history. After that historic victory, Mayor Cantrell was inaugurated to a second term on January 10, 2022. Her passion for the City of Yes and her dedication to its residents remains stronger than ever.

Mayor Cantrell remains focused on the issues of public safety, infrastructure, affordable housing and improving the quality of life for all New Orleans residents.
