PUBLIC NOTICE
Under the authority of Sec. 2-1000 of the Code of the City of New Orleans, the Safety and Permits Department shall present the proposed rules and regulations for implementation of the Healthy Homes Program (established by Ord. Cal #33,898) at a public meeting which will be available for viewing and submitting public comment virtually and in person on January 12, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM in the City Council Chambers, 1300 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA 70112. The Healthy Homes program is a program set in place to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public by ensuring people who reside in Orleans Parish occupy safe and habitable housing. A copy of the proposed rules can be found online at NOLA.GOV HEALTHY HOMES. Once adopted by the City Council, these Rules and Regulations are binding upon the public. This is a public meeting and public comment is invited and encouraged. Comments will be limited to two minutes per person, with no ceding of time.
