The purpose of the dashboard is to convey to the public the condition of properties owned and managed by the Department of Property Management, and where possible, provide photographs of the property, and also convey any particular plans for the properties in terms of re-purposing, or sale or demolition. This dashboard only shows properties managed by the Department of Property Management, and does not address properties managed by other City Departments such as NORD, NOPL, NOBC or The French Market Corp. Those will be added at a later stage.
Properties may be sorted by Council Districts A, B, C, D, and E. They may also be sorted by the condition of the properties by Blighted, Demolish, Good, Poor, or TBD. A large majority of buildings may be classified as TBD because we need to physically inspect the properties to assess their condition. That exercise will continue when a new Asset Management system is procured by the City early in 2024.
We caution that the dashboard is a work in progress since many assessments have not been performed.
