The board of trustees of the Firefighter's Pension and Relief Fund manages the fund and all money donated, paid, or assessed for the relief or pensioning of disabled, superannuated, and retired members of the fire department, their widows and minor children, or widowed mothers, and for the payment of death benefits.
The superintendent of the fire department;
The Director of Finance of the City of New Orleans;
Two members elected from the active ranks of the department;
Two members elected from the ranks of retired members of the department; and
One member appointed by the mayor and subject to City Council approval.
Two years; Ex-officio members serve terms concurrent with time in respective office.
