Call 1-800-251-BABY (2229) for answers to questions and links to resources near you. Call for information on pregnancy tests, prenatal care, getting Medicaid for moms and kids, nutrition/WIC, breastfeeding, immunizations, substance abuse and more. The line is available 24/7 and all calls are confidential.
text4baby provides free support throughout pregnancy and your baby's first year with free text messages on topics like prenatal care, baby health, parenting, and more. Text "BABY" (or "BEBE" for Spanish) to 511411 to sign up.
The Greater New Orleans Immunization Network operates a mobile unit that provides free immunizations for children, birth through age 18. Children are eligible if they have no insurance, insurance that doesn't cover immunizations, or Medicaid/LaCHIP.
Take Charge offers Medicaid coverage for family planning services to women ages 19-44 who are Louisiana residents, have an income below 200% of the Federal Poverty level, and do not have health insurance that covers Family Planning services. Take Charge covers services including doctor visits, laboratory tests and supplies (such as birth control pills, patches, IUDs, and diaphragms) for family planning purposes.

The Delgado Personal Health Center offers family planning services and STD testing. Basic treatment and testing cost $10, but you will not turned away if you can't pay. The clinic also accepts Medicaid and Take Charge.

The New Orleans Planned Parenthood Health Center offers family planning services and STD testing for men and women, women's health services, and some general health services and screenings. They accept Medicaid and Take Charge. If you are uninsured, Planned Parenthood charges a sliding scale fee payable by cash, check, credit/debit card or money order.

The Drop-in Clinic at Covenant House provides family planning (birth control and contraception) and STD services to adolescents up to the age of 24. The clinic does not turn people away who cannot pay, and staff can help adolescents sign up for Medicaid and other benefits.
